The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, nor a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will... (Vince Lombardi)

The Roy Dye Marathon Expedition, Walking, Biking, Hiking Our Way America (WOW), will try to prove, by application, the above statement to be true and inspire millions worldwide to join the effort, develop a healthy way of life, and extend their life expectancy considerably. If successful, I intend to establish a charitable trust, or foundation and continue helping others.

Nothing should inspire you more than to see a seventy year old man with one leg, don a prosthesis each morning, and walk in various charities around the country to help others. It has changed my life. It has made me stronger and healthier.

You have the power to achieve your goals regardless of present conditions. I intend to prove it! It doesn't matter that you may be out of condition, outside the loop of normalcy, overweight, underweight, an amputee, disabled in various other ways, or simply believe you cannot complete certain tasks.

You can....... You must start..... You must believe you can. There will be no change until you decide a change is imminent.

If you commit - you can get fit... It is cheaper to be healthy than to be sick or unhealthy!

This is a marathon, not a sprint.

You Must Not Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill.
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow --
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out --
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit --
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit!
